By using NameKeep (the “Service” or the “App”), you agree to the following Terms of Service.

Use of Service

NameKeep is a mobile app designed to help users remember and organize information about people they meet. You may use NameKeep for personal, educational, or other lawful purposes in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms.

You are responsible for the information you choose to save in NameKeep and for using the App in a respectful, lawful, and appropriate manner.

User-Entered Information

NameKeep may allow you to save names, descriptions, labels, notes, and other details about people you meet. You are responsible for ensuring that any information you enter is accurate, appropriate, and lawful to store.

You agree not to use NameKeep to store or manage information in a way that violates another person's rights, violates applicable law, or is used for harassment, stalking, discrimination, or other harmful purposes.

Local Data Storage

NameKeep stores your saved data locally on your device. NameKeep does not require a sign-in, email address, or phone number.

Because your data is stored on your device, you are responsible for protecting your device and your saved information. We recommend using your device's security features, such as a passcode, Face ID, fingerprint lock, or similar protections.

Importing Data

NameKeep may allow you to import existing lists or information into the App. You are responsible for ensuring that any data you import is accurate, properly formatted, and not corrupted.

NameKeep is not responsible for data loss, corruption, errors, duplicate entries, formatting issues, or other problems that may result from importing inaccurate, improperly formatted, unsupported, or corrupted data.

Exporting Data

NameKeep may allow you to export your saved data. Exported files are controlled by you. Once you export, save, send, or share your data outside of NameKeep, you are responsible for how that exported data is stored, protected, or shared.

NameKeep is not responsible for any loss, disclosure, misuse, or unauthorized access that occurs after you export or share your data outside of the App.

Notifications

NameKeep may offer optional notifications, such as memory quiz reminders. Notifications are opt-in only and can be managed through the App or your device settings.

NameKeep does not guarantee that notifications will always be delivered on time, or at all, because delivery may depend on your device, operating system, settings, and other factors outside of NameKeep's control.

No Warranty

NameKeep is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for any particular purpose.

We do not guarantee that NameKeep will prevent you from forgetting names or information, or that any reminders, quizzes, labels, searches, imports, exports, or other features will always work perfectly.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NameKeep and its creator are not liable for any damages, losses, claims, or issues arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to data loss, data corruption, device issues, missed reminders, import or export problems, unauthorized access to your device, or reliance on information stored in the App.

Intellectual Property

NameKeep, including its name, design, features, branding, and code, is owned by Leland Cuellar and may not be copied, reproduced, modified, redistributed, or used to create a competing product without permission, except where allowed by applicable law.

Changes to the Service

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of NameKeep at any time. We are not responsible for any impact these changes may have on your use of the App.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If these Terms change, the updated version will be posted with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of NameKeep after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
