What better feeling is there than lifting people up?
I can’t think of one. Lifting others up is what drives me. It’s why I was so excited when I heard that I had gotten the job as a tutor in the Math-Science Learning Center at SDSU. I am lucky enough to have a job I truly look forward to. The feeling of taking a student who is struggling to understand a CS topic or apply a mathematical technique, and giving them their confidence back, is so fulfilling.
It’s also why I built, published, and maintain a JavaScript-based Google Docs add-on called Text Styles. I realized how much time I was wasting on Google Docs formatting my notes repetitively, and that I wasn’t the only one. So I decided to change that by building Text Styles, a tool that lets you create, save, and apply custom markdown-style formatting in Docs.
It’s why I became the VP of the Calisthenics Club at SDSU, so I could help people achieve things with their body they never thought possible, because a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. Or why I interned as a research assistant at UCSD’s Center for Brain Health & Memory Disorders, where I was part of a team analyzing the effects of new drugs on Huntington’s Disease patients’ brain matter.
Now, I’m a NOAA EPP Center for Earth System Sciences and Remote Sensing Technologies II, Cohort 5 Fellow, doing software engineering research at SDSU's Climate Informatics Lab. I am also seeking Software Engineering / Full Stack / AI-ML / QA internships for the summer of 2027, where I can keep building, keep learning, and keep lifting people up. If your team is hiring interns (or you’re open to chatting), I’d love to connect.
